VCF Mestalla win latest friendly 2-0
VCF Mestalla continued to take steps forward in preseason with a 2-0 win over Nàstic de Tarragona on Wednesday. The performance -against a side whom they will play in the Primera RFEF next season- also saw the first appearance for the Valencia CF away kit, featuring a maroon colour scheme.

The two goals came in the first half. The first arrived on the quarter hour, when N’Dombasi was pulled down inside the box and Pablo Gozálbez converted the subsequent penalty. From then on, VCF Mestalla were comfortable both with and without the ball, with plenty of sharpness in attack. In one of those quick transitions, on the brink of halftime, they scored their second goal: Gozálbez's skillful shot bested goalkeeper Gonzi, struck the crossbar and was turned into an empty net by Bashiru .M from close range.

In the second half, the team coached by Miguel Ángel Angulo were solid with their defensive work, barely offering a chance to Nàstic and easing to victory.
VCF Mestalla have now kept a clean sheet in three of the four friendlies that they have played this summer, having beaten UD Castellonense (4-0), AFE (3-1) and Nàstic (2-0) and drawn against CD Eldense (0-0). On Saturday at 7:30pm CEST, they will play their first away friendly, against CD Teruel.
